More than 1200 individuals descended to BeBrave! Scotland’s Leading Entrepreneurial Festival powered by Elevator and Business Gateway on 3 October 2019, held at Pittodrie Stadium.

A celebration of entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial spirit, the festival - for the first-time - brought together leading support organisations, inspirational speakers and industry players to support those looking to start, grow or build their business.

Jamie Andrew, OBE and quadruple amputee mountaineer, opened the festival with his powerful talk which broke down the myth that successful entrepreneurs are either lucky or enjoy some unfair advantages.

Anke Heggie Director, Business Services and Advice at Scottish Enterprise, was joined by Pat Machray, a former chief executive of ANM Group; Andy Campbell, Elevator’s Head of Accelerators; digital leader, Michael Boniface of ONE CodeBase, and Caroline McKenna, Founder of Social Good HQ during a lunchtime panel to discuss the power of leadership in each innovators area of expertise.

The final headline act saw BBC reality star, Steve Mitchell, - who is currently creating Scotland’s first-ever buffalo mozzarella - take to the stage to inspire the audience and prove that anyone with a strong passion and goal can turn it into a reality.

36 key-drivers from the entrepreneurial ecosystem, 90% of which were from the local region, were on hand to provide legal, financial, networking and business support. While over 500 individuals attended workshops hosted by digital giants Google Digital Garage and Amazon Workplace, sponsored by SDI, on how to maximise the marketing and promotional opportunities on digital and social media channels.
