The Role…

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for an individual to join our passionate team of Growth Business Advisers in Aberdeen City & Shire. 

Unsure what a Business Growth Adviser does?  Well, as part of the Business Gateway offering, you will play an instrumental role in delivering enhanced business support throughout the region - providing advice and training!  You will work with clients who have the aspiration to grow their business, as well as engaging closely with businesses to highlight new opportunities for their growth and to assist with future plans.

This position suits a personable and methodical individual that is also a great listener and has a good understanding of the local business landscape. You would be based in our Bridge of Don office with an element of travelling to client premises and other office locations within Aberdeen City and Shire.  Your duties would include – but are not limited to:

  • Developing Strategic Action Plans with clients
  • Developing Marketing Plans with clients
  • Advising clients of available sources of finance and providing assistance in the applications for these
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with local intermediaries
  • Attending networking events
  • Proactively developing new business avenues

We're Asking For...

  • Do you have with a business-related qualification, or have you gained valuable experience from having run your own business? If the answer is yes, this could well be the perfect role for you!
  • You will have particular expertise in either business strategy, finance or market development. If you have more than one – even better!
  • A full UK driving licence is a must!
