Growth Start-Up Business Adviser Vacancy

1 x Full time, permanent role – 35 hours per week based in Aberdeen.

1 x Full time, fixed term role – 35 hours per week based in Aberdeen.

We are one of Scotland’s most prominent business support organisations and play a key role in supporting economic and business growth across Tayside and Aberdeenshire. 

Each year we help over 2,000 new businesses to start-up, deliver in excess of 500 workshops, and masterclasses; run Conferences and events and host our own annual Business Awards. We are recognised for having established 2 Centres for Entrepreneurship and for accelerating the growth ambitions of businesses across 3 cities. In addition to providing business support, over 300 small businesses view our 20 Business Centres as their home.

We have an opportunity for two full time Growth Start-Up Business Advisers to join our growing team based in Aberdeen as part of the Business Gateway service - delivering enhanced business support throughout Aberdeen City and Shire.

A vital part of the team, we’d expect that you will already have a proven skill set and will be able to demonstrate that you are able to handle a variety of Business Advisory duties including;

- Identifying new and established businesses who will benefit from Business Gateway support.

- Delivering training courses to new and established businesses.

- Developing business and marketing plans.

- Establishing strong public and private sector networks for the benefit of our clients.

- Accurate reporting on client activities undertaken and outcomes achieved.

We are looking for individuals with a business related degree and/or experience of running their own business.  You must also have a full driving license.  If you feel that you can offer these skills and bring a high level of energy and enthusiasm to this fast paced, dynamic role, we can offer you a supportive team environment where you will quickly make a genuine difference to the future of our region.
