Drawing on the very best Design Thinking practices from around the world including D.School Potsdam, UK Design Council and V&A’s Design For Business programme, you’ll be part of Scotland’s first long format design-led innovation and enterprise programme. We will empower you and your business with world-leading innovation practices, carefully interlinked to help you learn and apply:

  • Empathy and human-centered design - Understanding your customers and their real needs to design solutions that truly serve their purpose.
  • Ideation and problem solving - Learn how to generate and refine ideas to solve complex problems.
  • Prototyping and testing - Create and test prototypes to quickly validate and iterate on your ideas and concepts.
  • Collaboration and teamwork - Experience the value of collaboration and learn how to work with others effectively to solve problems.
  • Mindset and approach - Develop a mindset and approach that is focused on creative problem solving, experimentation and iterative development.

All workshops will take place, in person, at the Famous Grouse Ideas Centre, WASPS Perth Creative Exchange, Stormont Street, Perth PH1 5NW.


Workshops sessions will run every Tuesday (1pm – 4.30pm) from 7th March to 25th April.


We will also have two informal “fireside chats”, Q&A and networking sessions with guest speakers actively applying Design Thinking and design-led innovation across their businesses. These are scheduled to take place:

  • Thursday 20th April, 2pm-4pm
  • Thursday 27th April, 2pm-4pm

what you need 01

  • A business based in Perth and Kinross– whatever stage it's at.
  • A business challenge – Product, service or strategy. Bring it along and we’ll help you progress it.
  • An open mind – We’ll provide the rest, including refreshments and takeaway tools. No previous design knowledge is required.
  • Commitment – This is an end-to-end interlinked programme, so you need to be available for all workshop sessions (Tuesdays 1pm-4.30pm).
