Fast-forward three years and Gavin has developed a technology to fulfil the industry’s need for a safer, more accurate method to measure produced natural gas. There was just one thing missing reliable team to reinforce GM Flow’s success and catapult it further.

In 2017 Gavin joined our Grey Matters powered by Elevator accelerator, surrounding himself with individuals who had the skills to supplement his.

A catalyst for entrepreneurship in the oil and gas industry, the 16-weekequipped Gavin with the opportunity to mix with like-minded individuals and collaborate with those who could help build the foundations of his team.

He said: “For the first few weeks of the programme I held back quite a bit. I felt like an imposter, almost an ‘inside man’. I joined Grey Matters for a different reason than most of the others; I already had the product and business plan, but I needed partners to make it happen

“The 16-weeks acted like an extended interview process. I was fortune enough to work alongside talented individuals and understand their varied characteristics and strengths. This was crucial for finding the right individuals to form our team.

At the end of the programme Gavin was ready to make two appointments, Victor Gawski and Chris Oliver, soon followed by a third non-executive director, Dave Shand.

With a vast amount of operation and service experience, Victor has the know-how to build, streamline and enhance GM Flow’s technology, Chris financial experience allows the company to deliver effective, low cost solutions for its customers, while Dave acts as a mentor, keeping the company focused on key activities

In 2019, GM Flow hit another milestone and moved into its first permanent officeWith five years of trading under its belt, the company is gearing up for growth.

Now, with a strong, ambitious team around him, Gavin has his next goalin sight - to expand into premises with the facility to build equipment on site, grow the team to 15-20 and to form an international presence.
