DevBar is a creative marathon, pitching teams of developers, designers, project managers, thinkers and whoever-else's against each other in Aberdeen:

Partnered by Elevator, with Elevator’s Project Manager Simon Fraser as one of the judges, we hear from organiser Szymon Szymczyna, what DevBar is all about…

szymon They say that some of the best ideas are born over a couple of beers.  Just take a look at Virgin, Harry Potter’s Quidditch and Ironman Triathlons as prime examples. In fact DevBar Challenge 2015 was thought of in a bar!

DevBar Challenge is a brand new event taking place at Aberdeen’s Sportsmans Club on Saturday, 24th of October. The event invites teams of developers, designers, project managers, students and creative professionals to battle it out over a 10 hour period, to win over a panel of Aberdeen’s leading industry professionals.

Judges include UK Marketing and Communications Manager to OPITO, Stephanie Crawford, EQ Design’s Managing Director, Mark Kemp, AVC Media’s Creative Studio Manager, Scott Graham, Visual Communication and Communication Design Lecturer for Gray’s School of Art, Nicola Watson and Project Manager for Elevator, Simon Fraser.

Participants will be provided with the opportunity to test and develop their skills to meet a mystery brief designed by the judges. Each member of the winning team will be rewarded with a year’s subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud.

With all day catering, plenty of beer, networking opportunities and an after party, DevBar Challenge will be the first of its kind to take place in Aberdeen. So why not register for FREE to develop your talents and your team in a bar for 10 hours?

Tickets are available to purchase at Registration for DevBar Challenge closes Wednesday, 21st of October. For more information contact
