Nominations for the 2019 Elevator Awards will close on 20th March, meaning there is still plenty of time to submit an entry.

As we hit our 20th year as custodian of the awards, we’re looking for the brave and the bold, the adventurers, the game-changers and spirited entrepreneurs. Whether you have a promising new business set to shake your sector, know of or are a dedicated individual who is driven by sharing knowledge and expertise to the business owners of tomorrow, or maybe you are part of a business which is committed to going that extra mile for your community, we want to hear your story.

Being shortlisted for our prestigious awards brings a host of benefits, all outlined in Professor Gary McEwan’s latest blog. But don’t just take our word for it, hear from some of our previous winners and finalists on what the recognition meant to them.

“Winning the Elevator Innovation Award was a huge personal and business achievement. Since, the company has completed the engineering development of the pH Soft Tissue Monitoring system and is doing the final qualification tests to allow the product to be used in a clinical study in hospitals across Scotland.”

Kirsty McIntosh, Softcell Medical

“I was both humbled and delighted to have won the Spirit of Enterprise award. Being a female entrepreneur in the tech sector is tough and lonely at times, and awards like these are blazing the way for our future. The recognition from your peers is the highest accolade.”

Sheryl Newman, Appetite for Business

“Winning two years in a row helped us to know we were - and still are - doing the right things. It cemented that our peers truly respect us as a competent company. Our standing in the area and the public perception of our brand has really pushed forward as a result.”

Dave Grant, Fierce Beer

“It was fantastic to be a finalist in the Enterprising Communities Award category as it shone a light on the innovative work of the Inspire...By Charity Shop & Workshop. It bolstered Inspire’s profile and highlighted the support we provide to people with learning disabilities across the north east of Scotland.”

Andrew Reid, Inspire PTL
