Elevator is delighted to announce that HRH The Duke of York is bringing Pitch@Palace On Tour to Aberdeen on Monday, July 3.

Scottish entrepreneurs are being invited to apply to Pitch in front of His Royal Highness and compete to win a place to the Pitch@Palace 8.0 Boot Camp.

Established by The Duke of York in 2014, Pitch@Palace has helped more than 400 businesses grow, with some now enjoying global success. 

This is the first Pitch@Palace event to be held in Aberdeen is the only Scottish venue for On Tour events in 2017.

Pitch@Palace On Tour events provide entrepreneurs from across the United Kingdom with the opportunity to connect with local stakeholders and receive mentoring to develop their businesses. 

Invited guests at the event will hear from up to 15 local start-ups, all hoping to progress to the next round of the competition.

The theme for Pitch@Palace 8.0 is The Future of Mobility and Materials, focusing on The Future of Mobility, Transportation and Materials, and will explore technology that impacts the future evolution of mobility and autonomous systems and the critical materials that are essential for the functioning of high-tech products.

The categories for Pitch@Palace 8.0 will be:

  • New Materials
  • Autonomous Vehicles
  • Human and Social Impact
  • Material Sustainability and Recycling
  • The Supply Chain
  • Connectivity and 5G
  • Other

A selection of start-ups from the Pitch@Palace On Tour events will be chosen to attend Pitch@Palace Boot Camp. 

Pitch@Palace Boot Camp provides 42 entrepreneurs with the opportunity to hear from leading industry experts and Pitch@Palace alumni, as well as receiving support and mentoring. 

All participants are asked to pitch to a panel of judges, who will select up to 15 entrepreneurs to pitch at St James’s Palace.

All entrepreneurs who attend Pitch@Palace Boot Camp are invited to attend Pitch@Palace 8.0 and have the opportunity to network at the event.

Elevator hopes that by bringing Pitch@Palace On Tour to Aberdeen, seen as the entrepreneurial capital of Scotland, it will offer a great opportunity for local start-ups to amplify and accelerate their business growth.
