Round 10 of Scottish EDGE Funding launches Today!
Are you an innovative, high growth potential, Scottish-headquartered business?
Then apply now for Scottish EDGE Round 10 which launches today. Scottish EDGE is a competition aimed at identifying and supporting Scotland’s up-and-coming, innovative, high-growth potential entrepreneurial talent.
Applications will be accepted through the competition website until 8th March 2017 at 2 PM, requiring an application form and a short video pitch.
All entries will be assessed by a number of independent, expert panels before being shortlisted to participate in a Scottish EDGE semi-final or the final of our subsidiary competition categories, namely Higgs EDGE, Young EDGE or Wild Card EDGE.
Prizes of up to £150,000 will be awarded at a full day pitching final and an awards ceremony on 22nd June 2017.
To date, 234 businesses have received the sought-after Scottish EDGE award, and our alumni have generated an additional £45.06m in turnover, secured £44.12m in additional investment, and created 818 jobs. Since its inception in 2013, Scottish EDGE has demonstrated that offering Scottish start-up businesses some essential funding and support can have a significant impact on business success.
Looking for some training to get pitch ready?
Elevator is hosting 2 workshops on the 22nd of February, a morning session in Dundee and an afternoon session in Aberdeen in partnership with the Scottish EDGE Team, during which you’ll find out what makes a strong Scottish EDGE application, what the judging panel look for and how to deliver a 3-minute video presentation.
The workshops are delivered by the Scottish EDGE team and experts from within Scotland’s entrepreneurial eco-system and could be the first step in your Scottish EDGE journey to winning funding of up to £100,000.
So, what are you waiting for?
Applications are open until 8th March 2017 at 2pm. For full details on the competitions, eligibility and to apply, visit the website at www.scottishedge.com.
